Launched in December of 2020, Linden Ave. Studio is the brainchild of Rahmi Halaby. The artist has amassed years of experience within his respective domains, bringing a fresh perspective to the creative marketing circuits through inventive storytelling and compelling business strategy. Linden Ave. operates primarily out of Philadelphia but traces its origins to Los Angeles where both Halaby and Kayla Jones, Halaby’s partner and cohort, still retain active partnerships and communities. Since the studio’s founding, the team behind Linden Ave. has routinely impressed with their unconventional approach to marketing that at once feels both distinctly homegrown and immensely international. The studio coils around a number of different pillars and coexists alongside many unique industries, positioning Linden Ave. as a premier, global agency of seemingly limitless capabilities.
Halaby introduced the early iterations of the studio while living in Los Angeles, where he had witnessed a desert climate in traditional marketing spaces. Part of the inspiration behind launching his own independent practice was the desire to disrupt our perceptions of creative agency and the way we tell stories, seeking to rejuvenate a somewhat stagnant industry with the fruits of a new bloom. After relocating to Philadelphia, Linden Ave. truly began to take shape, riding on the success of work with names like Converse, Accenture, and wework. From a distance, Linden Ave. feels decidedly West Coast. But when you take a closer look, so much of the studio’s personality is derived from Halaby’s childhood, where the christening of his life’s work began to take form. Linden Avenue was the name of Halaby’s street address as a teenager while living with his Mom. Growing up, it was where Halaby first tasted the truest iteration of his love language, which was rooted in good stories. Today, the studio works hard to craft compelling stories that breach the usual parameters.
Presently, Linden Ave. is organizing monthly discussions in partnership with W Hotels, which will feature an array of installments and dynamic panels that portray a handful of professional markets, united through design.
Massimo Vignelli, the multifaceted Italian designer, was known for weaving together singular skill sets to create something truly dynamic. His approach to design inspired Linden Ave.’s vision for the W Hotels. To start, the panels will run exclusively in Philadelphia, but with the intention of reaching international markets down the road.
Linden Ave. prides itself on telling stories at the right time, in the right place, and with the right people, and this approach requires a bit of flexibility. The studio is eager to build a network of artists who can create and connect internationally through NFTs and 3D mapping, which would allow the artists to expand beyond their immediate surroundings and enter new territory through a digital, albeit abstruse, vessel. With this in mind, Linden Ave. oversteps their Philadelphia threshold and taps into a worldview. Halaby’s background is taken from streetwear scenes, where self-expression evolves more rapidly than any other medium, considering its relationship with pop culture.
In a short amount of time, Linden Ave. has proved itself to be the future of creative marketing, reaching far beyond traditional parameters and holding court over a unique industry that blends artistic expression together like a quilt. Halaby seeks to tell better stories and has only just begun writing his own.
