A Passionate Musician
Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dwayne Kirkland began exploring music around 2014-2015. What started as a hobby and an outlet for his creativity soon became a professional career as D Kirk KV’s musical talent gained recognition. At 24 years old and with a bachelor’s degree from Kutztown University, D Kirk KV understands the importance of education in one’s life.
As D Kirk KV’s audience grew, so did his opportunities to perform on countless stages, events, and musical shows. He credits his success to his passion and dedication to his craft, working on it every day to improve. With no plans of slowing down, D Kirk KV recently released a new hit song, “Tempted ft. xBValentine,” featuring dancehall vibes perfect for brightening up anyone’s mood amid the pandemic.
A Dedicated Entrepreneur
In June 2021, D Kirk KV and his partner, Latasha Melody, launched D&J Clothing, an apparel brand offering stylish, trendy, and affordable urban fashion for men, women, and unisex audiences. Their clothing range includes accessories, hats, leggings, pants, athletic, and winter gear. The duo’s passion and dedication to their business has led to significant success.
In addition to his roles as a musician and entrepreneur, D Kirk KV is also focused on expanding his social media reach by creating short skits on Instagram and TikTok – a modern marketing strategy that others should consider. When asked about his plans for the year, he excitedly shared,
“My future plans are definitely expanding music and clothing brands further dropping my second Album ‘Waves’ Summer 2022 and eventually developing my own label more with other upcoming artists. Also expanding my clothing line worldwide. So a lot is on the horizon!!”
